Brief Product Review

This acne fighting product is an oral supplement that claims to be formulated to reduce the amount of facial oils that are produced. Actimine is supposed to clear up acne problems by controlling the natural production of these oils.

As most acne fighting formulas are topical in nature this does make Actimine stand out in a crowded market. The manufacturers state that those common acne outbreaks are able to be eliminated once there are fewer skin oils involved.

Excess sebum production has been linked to higher incidences of zits, pimples and skin blemishes so this does seem like a logical explanation of how this product might work.

Ingredients in Actimine

Vitamin A, Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane (MSM), Selenium, Zinc and Guggul are listed on the company website and they are identified as the primary active ingredients in the Actimine formula.

According to the information provided Vitamin A is responsible for the reduction of facial oil. The Selenium compounds are to help reduce any skin inflammation that acne causes. While the company states these ideas, they offer no studies or proof that either of these ingredients can actually live up to these promises.

Furthermore the Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane is purported to have some type of nutritional effect on the skin yet there are no studies or documented research to back this claim either. According to the Actimine site Zinc has a positive effect on the user's level of testosterone, but once again these are empty words with no truth or fact to lend credence to this statement. The ingredient known as Guggul is said to improve the health of the skin but still any evidence to support this claim is mysteriously omitted from the website.

Cons

Rating by Consumers

We found mixed reviews by people using this product, most users reported that they noticed less oil on their skin while using Actimine but some reported that their skin became dehydrated from using it. We found this product would probably work best for people with extremely oily skin.

Conclusion

There is just far too little information available about Actimine to be able to offer a recommendation that this product should be used. The company website does not prove that their product is worth even the $59.95 price because they show no documentation for their claims that Actimine can treat acne outbreaks successfully.

There are better products on the market for effectively treating acne. We suggest you look elsewhere before buying.
